Accession consists of two watercolour paintings by local artist Lillian M. Arnould, and dated 1923. Both paintings are signed and dated by the artist in the bottom right corner of image, and are mounted in their original frames. Both show bodies of water surrounded by trees, with local mountains in the background.

|Admin/Biographical History||Gladys E. Kipp is the widow of the late Eward Harvey Kipp, Chilliwack Postmaster from 1949 to 1973. She was the acting Postmaster from Jan. 18, 1973 to February 4, 1973, and was succeeded in that position by Arthur J. Penner. These two watercolour paintings in their original frames were by local artist Lillian M. Arnould. The smaller of the two paintings was found by the donor hanging on the wall in the Menholm building which was in the process of being demolished ca. 1950s. The larger of the two paintings was given to the donor by Mrs. Reg Gahn as a gift. Mrs. Gahn and donors mother-in-law Winnifred Kipp [Mrs. Wilfred Harvey] were good friends.|
