Scope & Content The series consists of teaching notes, curricula, bulletin summaries, exams, and general information in a number of classes, including cash crops, poultry and farm management, and oats and seed cultivation.
Creator Vocational Agriculture Program
Admin/Biographical History The Vocational Agriculture Program began in 1939 under the direction of Neill MacGregor. There were three programs: a three, a four and a five year program. Each student had to carry out a supervised farming program in some aspect of agriculture. In addition, courses were given in cattle, grain crops, farm management, farm mechanics. By the late 1960's program enrolment dwindled, due largely to timetable changes, until Vocational Agriculture was cancelled entirely in 1968.
