This book is the story of Arnt Arntzen and Ebe Koeppen, two men who worked in mines, logging and construction camps, on homesteads, farms and stump ranches in B.C. and other parts of Western Canada from 1912 on. They tell in their own words of their families, neighbours, partners - and of their work which involved alternating between farming and wage work in primary resource industries. Their very human stories are part of an authentic Canadian social history rarely found in "official" accounts.
With some photos.
