Lillooet basket made of cedar root, wild cherry bark, grass and string; base and walls are slat coil; walls also have a single row of bundle coil around rim; walls are divided into 2 decorative fields with the lower field consisting of a single row of red cherry bark and the upper field completely imbricated with bleached grass and a geometric design in black; single handle is braided and spans the basket from one side to the other; ends of handle are sewn to basket.
Provenance Collected by Elizabeth Greenwood Goodall. During the holidays between 1920 - 1933, Goodall travelled with her husband Thomas Goodall, along the BC Coast by steamer collecting First Nations carvings and baskets.
