John Cotter Henderson (1853-1929) was the son of pioneer merchant Samuel Henderson. He settled in Chilliwack after taking his medical degrees in Glasgow in 1886, becoming the community's first resident physician. Dr. Henderson's son, Harold Leslie Henderson, (Aug. 29, 1893-July 19, 1985), was a bookkeeper who became Superintendent of The Borden Company's condensed milk plant in Sardis, from 1939-1947. Harold Henderson's son Kenneth Stanley Henderson (Sept. 18, 1929- May 18, 1973) was editor of the Chilliwack High School Newspaper and later a trustee of the Chilliwack Historical Society. |
