Charles Evans came to Canada for the Cariboo goldrush in 1862, He married Jane Wells in 1866 at Yale. They had 3 children, John Allen (Al), Charles Henry, and Sarah Allen. Charles passed away at 32. Al Evans married Edna Agusta Chadsey, while Charles Henry Evans married Maria Marshall, and then married Anne Graham upon his first wife's death. John Evans, farmer, was the son of Gordon Evans and Edna (nee Van Meter) Evans, who was the son of Al Evans. He married Jean Evans. John and Jean had 4 children: Vivian (the donor), Nancy, Barbara, and Gordon Evans. |
