Originally owned by Ernest and Clifford Pearson who operated Pearson Brothers Store, Sardis, B.C. Pearson Brothers' Store built 1891, operated by, in turn, A.D. Campbell, Joseph Ogle, John Henry Ashwell, W.H. Holmes and Alan Langstaff. In 1919 Clifford and Ernie Pearson bought it and remained in family until 1974, then closed. Branch Stores were opened during hop picking season. The 83 year old store needed extensive repair. Home deliveries, credit and service were hallmarks of the store. |
